The second round of the women's pool match of the "Good Luck Beijing" 2007 International Hockey Tournament was held in the Olympic Green Hockey Stadium on August 9. The Australian team outdid the Argentine team 2:0 and obtained the pass for the finals in advance. In this match, the Australian team got the upper hand and won victory by scoring twice in mobile maneuver.

Both the Argentine team and the Australian team are among the top three in the world. In this match of two strong rivals, both teams were also vying for the highest level of the world women's hockey. The Australian team watched for its opportunity to fight back, gained a short corner at the 7th minute, and created an excellent opportunity for scoring a goal. But the tip-in player hit the ball too high.

At the 26th minute, the Australian team gained another opportunity for a short corner but failed to organize an effective attack. At the 28th minute, the Australian team gained an opportunity for a short corner and a threatening shot, which, however, was warded off by the Argentine players. Afterwards, the Australian team maintained its lead to the end and claimed a 2:0 victory over the Argentine team. As it won both games in the pool match, the Australian team has qualified for the finals ahead of others.
